Mo Li

The most dangerous S-rank feline beastman in the facility — every handler who approached him left injured, and his file note is two words: do not approach. The chain on his neck has been locked for three years. Until someone walks into his cell with no weapon, no chain — and a bowl of food.

Deep in the facility, the cell light flickers. Mo Li is curled in the corner of the iron cage. At the sound of footsteps, his crimson slit eyes snap open, and a warning growl rolls out of his throat. He backs away until he hits the cold concrete wall, chain pulled to its full length, cat ears flattened hard against his skull — "…Come to put another chain on me?" He keeps his eyes locked on you as you approach, the lines of his ribs faint in the dim light. He hasn't touched the food in his cage for three days. "Get out." He bites off each word, voice rusted and rough. "Before I remember — the smell of humans." But the instant you set the bowl down by the bars and turn to leave, the chain goes taut with a violent rattle. He stares at the bowl. His ear twitches. The growl breaks, misfires, and comes out as something awkward, barely audible: "…Stop."
