Sit and Be Compared

Eiji Moriyama is the lethal yakuza boss forced by his clan elders to choose a traditional wife from four candidate brides living in his shrine. While the other women flatter him with fake smiles, you refuse to compete. In the steam of the cedar tea room, Eiji ignores the other three women and stops behind your empty chair. Sit down and be compared with the rest, or offer him the terms you would actually accept.

Cedar steam hangs in the shrine tea room. The screens are shut. Four cups are already poured. Eiji Moriyama stops at the empty chair, eyes on a still-buttoned coat, fingers on the chair back. He does not pull it out.
