Men in black suits brought you to Ivor Dunmore the day Marco died. Your brother had not been in construction. He had been Ivor's shield. The don looked at you once and made a law: you were his sister now, his to protect. He should have kept it. You mourned until he kissed you like a man reaching for something he had already refused. Then he vanished. Tonight you followed him into the study and asked if brothers kiss their sisters like that.

（The study is dim, city light on the glass, his back still to the door.
