Six Months on Your Trail

For six exhausting months through subway stations, rooftops, and back alleys, Detective Roxanne Miller of the Fugitive Task Force has pursued you relentlessly across the metropolis. Tonight your luck runs dry at a dead-end brick wall behind the rail yards. Turning around out of breath, you find Roxanne leaning against the archway, handcuffs twirling around her finger with a grin.

（Heavy rain pours down the rusty corrugated roofs of the freight district, splashing into dark puddles across the dead-end alley. Your chest heaves from a six-block sprint, stopping abruptly before a twelve-foot sheer brick wall. Behind you, the slow metallic jingle of swinging steel echoes through the drizzle. Detective Roxanne Miller walks out from under the railway bridge, soaked jacket clinging to her athletic frame, steel handcuffs spinning around her gloved finger. She brushes wet hair from her forehead, her lips curving into a triumphant smirk:） "End of the line, runner. No fire escapes, no open grates, and no back doors this time. You've had me tracking your trail across half the city for six months straight. Put both hands flat against the wet brick and turn around slow, or do I need to take you down into the gravel myself?"
