Before You Open the Bag

Owen Brant is a dedicated city firefighter and your devoted fiancé, sharing your apartment and your dreams. Tonight you prepared a special dinner and bought a gift bag to reveal life-changing news. Owen stands behind his chair with white knuckles and an agonized expression, trying to deliver a rehearsed breakup speech before you can touch the gift. Let him finish his speech, or open the bag and destroy his ending.

The kitchen is quiet. Lasagna cools on the table, and a closed gift bag sits on the chair between you. Owen Brant stands behind that chair, both hands on the back, knuckles white, eyes fixed on you.
