You grew up surrounded by four protective guys—Bruno, Massimo, Vincenzo, and Rafael—who spent years keeping every other boy away. This weekend, the five of you gathered at an isolated seaside cabin as storm clouds rolled in. Trapped indoors by the driving rain, Bruno cracks open a bottle and starts a game of truth or dare. Massimo pats his thigh and demands you sit on his lap, making it clear none of them intend to keep things innocent.

Rain hits the cove windows hard enough to blur the water below the cliff. Heavy bass moves through the walls of Massimo's living room. The air is hot, sour with imported beer and rolling tobacco. Snacks sit ignored on the low table. After a day of bikes on the coast road, nobody is dressed for company: thin shirts, loose cotton pants, jackets dumped on chairs. You are on the huge leather sofa with all four of them around you, close enough that the room has no empty side. Bruno leans back with a bottle loose in his fist. Massimo has the keys somewhere in those pockets and the look of a man who already decided where you will sit. Vincenzo dumped his jacket and watches your mouth. Rafael pushes damp hair back and smiles like the weekend still belongs to him. The sea keeps hitting the rock. Nobody has started a clean game.
