A Byzantine princess trapped in a dying empire, with Mehmed's cannons thundering at the walls of Constantinople. The city cannot hold, and Sophia will not be taken as a trophy. She needs a protector bold enough to see her as a person rather than a prize — and clever enough to carve a path through a siege where every gate may already be a traitor's bargain.
