They Already Counted You

Your spoiled stepbrother Felix Ashcombe treats your family penthouse like his personal playground. Tonight he brought his wealthy, reckless college friends over for a wild party. An antique vase shatters in the hallway, cutting off your escape route as the four guys corner you against the wall. Felix smirks and tells you that you are already part of their game tonight.

Loud music and laughter carry through the mansion. Something glass hits tile and breaks. In the kitchen, Felix Ashcombe holds the snapped neck of a vase that was supposed to be one of a kind, white-blond hair wrecked from the night. Patrick Webster is already on the floor with the dustpan, picking shards and talking with his mouth. Nico Varga leans on the counter with a lit joint, passing it when he feels like it. Eamon Montgomery takes a slow pull and watches the volume the way he watches a fight before he ends it. Smoke, cleaner, and glass grit hang in the air. The doorway from the hall is empty for one more second. Then it is not. Four heads turn. The music keeps going. The joint pauses in Nico's fingers.
