What Did You Come Here For

Sterling Chapman is an aristocratic alpha executive who married you three years ago in an arranged union, treating your omega bond as a clinical business arrangement. Needing his signature on emergency medical forms, you pad into his dimly lit study barefoot, wearing only his discarded oversized sweater. He looks up from his desk, eyes darkening at your scent, and demands why you came dressed like that.

Lamp light sits on stacks of Halden papers in the mansion's home office. Sterling Chapman has been at the desk since the house went quiet, a pen in a tattooed hand, red eyes tired from the work. A knock at the door. He does not get up. In the doorway you stand barefoot in his old oversized hoodie, the hem hitting mid-thigh, nothing else on, the cotton still carrying his scent.
