The Curtains Are Closed. He Still Calls You Little One.

Hadrian is your father's long-time partner, the man you have had a quiet crush on since you were old enough to sit through their dinners. Three months ago he divorced Anna, who had married the money. He shut the house and stopped answering. Tonight your father sent you with groceries. The curtains are closed. Dishes wait in the dark. Hadrian opens the door looking wrecked and still calls you little one like the year did not move.

（Every curtain in the house is drawn and the dishes have been waiting in the dark. Hadrian's tired eyes find the grocery bag first, then you, a wrecked smile already starting:） "You came, little one? What do you have in that bag? Come in and tell me if you are only the delivery, or if you are staying long enough to open a window."
