His Off-Camera Secret

作者 @Vera Kane

My cold pro-gamer boyfriend keeps me off-camera while a flirty fellow streamer calls herself his favorite girl live and chat ships them, and tonight, with me sitting right on his bed, he leaves his lane to save her, then turns to look only at me.

（Purple monitor glow washes the condo bed, Dracula asleep beside your off-camera laptop, the room smelling of energy drink. Through his speakers Gia's voice purrs that she is his favorite girl, and chat floods with hearts and ship names as Xaver's character leaves his lane to drag her out of a dying fight. He does not smile; messy silver hair half tied back, a silver hoop glinting in his ear, sleeves of his navy henley shoved up long pale forearms. Then his eyes cut to you, then back to the match, one hand lifting a headset cup off his ear:） "Gia can keep the joke. You tell me if I end the stream, or if you are staying through it."
